1980 Porsche 911 S C
Since it was presented fifty years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show as the heir to the 356 model, this mythical model has produced seven generations of cars without its particular identity being altered. It still retains its unmistakable profile as well as the engine and rear-wheel drive.
The models prepared for competition are legendary due to their excellent track record. Models in this series include the popular 911 Targa, 911 S Sporting, 911 Carrera Circuit and 911 Turbo. In the 1970s, the 911 SC was introduced with great success, and half of the production was destined for the American market. Since 1997 the engines are water cooled.
Recognized as one of the most illustrious automobiles in history, the eighth generation of the firm’s flagship model was unveiled as the Type 992 at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles in 2018.
