Sin embargo, su chasis sigui\u00f3 siendo esencialmente el mismo que el del Silver Ghost, con frenos en las cuatro ruedas,. En 1928 se sustituye la culata de hierro por otra de aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio. En adelante el modelo s\u00f3lo sufrir\u00e1 ligeras variaciones hasta el fin de producci\u00f3n y continuar\u00eda fundamentalmente sin cambios hasta la llegada del Phantom II en 1929, que trajo consigo un bastidor completamente nuevo.<\/p>\n

Esta limusina, que ha formado parte de nuestra colecci\u00f3n desde 1993, fue propiedad de Lady Anna Allegra Newman, nacida Hakim en Egipto, viuda del magnate de los diamantes de origen alem\u00e1n Sigismund Neumann. La figura de Lady Newman ha quedado inmortalizada en tres retratos expuestos en la National Portrait Gallery de Londres.<\/p>\n

Fue carrozada por la compa\u00f1\u00eda Hooper de Westminster que, desde 1805 a 1959, prove\u00eda de lujosos carruajes y de motores a su selecta y real clientela, inclin\u00e1ndose m\u00e1s por la fabricaci\u00f3n de limusinas que por modelos deportivos. Tras fabricar motores de aviaci\u00f3n durante la guerra y de superar la Gran Depresi\u00f3n, adquiri\u00f3 la arruinada compa\u00f1\u00eda rival Barker en 1938.<\/p>\n

El estilo corresponde al usualmente denominado \u201dsedancalelette\u201d, con espacio abierto en la zona del chofer y descapotable en los asientos traseros, sobre el ba\u00fal portaequipajes. Ambas zonas quedan separadas por una mampara de cristal en la parte central, fija, del habit\u00e1culo, que cuenta con asientos plegables, sof\u00e1 tapizado y moqueta de lana. Una trompetilla comunica con el asiento del chofer, tapizado en cuero. El parabrisas es abatible y las ruedas se hallan cubiertas por tapacubos. El alto techo y las tres hileras de ventanas recuerdan a las del modelo previo Silver Ghost<\/p>\n

Del perfecto acabado de sus modelos y de la calidad de sus trabajos no albergaba ninguna duda Rolls-Royce al ofrecer a los compradores una garant\u00eda de tres a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
