\nCarrosserie: Park Ward Ltd<\/strong><\/p>\n

La carrocer\u00eda de esta limusina fue dise\u00f1ada por la compa\u00f1\u00eda brit\u00e1nica Park Ward, que naci\u00f3 en 1919 con la finalidad exclusiva de construir carrocer\u00edas para coches. Asociada en un principio con Bentley, fue requerida por Rolls-Royce poco tiempo despu\u00e9s de producir el primer Silver Ghost. Cambi\u00f3 su nombre en 1924 por el de Park Ward & Co, a ra\u00edz de una serie de problemas financieros. En la d\u00e9cada de los treinta la compa\u00f1\u00eda trabajaba casi en exclusiva para Rolls-Royce, que se convirti\u00f3 en propietario de la firma en 1939.<\/p>\n

De color hueso y negro, su capota de cuero duro se extiende sobre dos hileras de ventanas hasta el ba\u00fal de la trasera. El cap\u00f3 exhibe unas trampillas de refrigeraci\u00f3n mientras que el parabrisas abatible regula la ventilaci\u00f3n. Es el \u00fanico ejemplar de la sala en el que la caja de herramientas que hace las veces de escal\u00f3n no es fija sino desmontable. Al igual que sus vecinos, en el radiador luce las cl\u00e1sicas letras entrelazadas en color rojo.<\/p>\n

El habit\u00e1culo esconde un espectacular sof\u00e1 con reposabrazos tapizado con un tejido adamascado de flores, enmarcado por madera y provisto de reposapi\u00e9s y moqueta verde. Dispone de intercomunicador y de mesitas abatibles de madera que custodian un mueble bar.<\/p>\n

Respecto a la mec\u00e1nica, no s\u00f3lo hay que atribuir a Henry Royce el dise\u00f1o del cig\u00fce\u00f1al sino tambi\u00e9n el de los carburadores y el distribuidor, siendo construidas una buena parte de las piezas en la f\u00e1brica<\/p>\n
