Equipped with a longer chassis than its predecessor, in line with the more powerful and sophisticated Phantom III, the front wheels are positioned further back from the radiator and are smaller. The increased engine power does not result in higher speed, as the bodies gain weight when assembled on longer frames. It joined the Collection in 1994.<\/p>\n

The most significant advancement is a new independent front suspension using coil springs, which provides a better driving experience. The lightweight alloy engine is equipped with drum brakes, servo-assisted and patented by Hispano-Suiza, and a four-speed gearbox. The addition of a hand lever under the driver\u2019s seat, which activates a hydraulic jack on all four wheels, illustrates the mechanical evolution.<\/p>\n

The outbreak of war interrupted car production, which was replaced by the manufacture of one of the most successful engines of World War II, the Merlin piston aircraft engine.<\/p>\n

This coveted model is the one with the lowest production, except for the Pre-Silver Ghost and Phantom IV, which was not offered to the public. Starting in 1939, the company would introduce the production of the complete car.<\/p>\n
