width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Este innovador y llamativo modelo incorporado a la colecci\u00f3n en 1994 fue el primer doce cilindros b\u00f3xer con cuatro v\u00e1lvulas por cilindro que se mont\u00f3 en un Ferrari de carretera. En el momento de su lanzamiento era el motor mas potente montado en un deportivo de producci\u00f3n en serie. El chasis estaba basado en el de su antecesor 512 BB pero la est\u00e9tica cambia radicalmente. Las curvas fueron reemplazadas por l\u00edneas rectas y \u00e1ngulos muy marcados, la forma en cu\u00f1a y la inclinaci\u00f3n del parabrisas, de perfil aerodin\u00e1mico, permit\u00eda prescindir de alerones o spoilers. La carrocer\u00eda tubular, casi 2 metros de anchura por 1,13 metros de altura, es de chapa de aleaci\u00f3n ligera mientras que el techo y las puertas son de acero.<\/p>\n<p>Lo distintivo de este modelo son las aletas delanteras que fluyen hacia los paneles de puertas, creciendo en anchura hacia atr\u00e1s para fundirse con las prominentes aletas posteriores. La raz\u00f3n de esta trasera tan ancha y de los paneles laterales de profundas ranuras o branquias son los dos radiadores de agua montados a ambos lados, que se refrigeraban a trav\u00e9s de esas tomas de las puertas. Las branquias suman cinco l\u00e1minas de acero prensadas que recorren todo el lateral del coche, siendo la segunda y la cuarta ligeramente m\u00e1s gruesas que las otras tres. Las manillas de apertura de las puertas quedan escondidas bajo la carrocer\u00eda. Este modelo ser\u00e1 sustituido por una versi\u00f3n actualizada de Testarossa, tanto en mec\u00e1nica como en dise\u00f1o,\u00a0 que se denominar\u00e1 512 TR.<\/p>\n<p>A finales de los a\u00f1os cincuenta ya hubo un Ferrari Testa Rossa, en dos palabras, que gan\u00f3 tres veces el campeonato del mundo de constructores. Su nombre se deb\u00eda a la pintura roja o cabezas rojas que recubr\u00edan la culata del motor, que sigue incluyendo esta versi\u00f3n. Por otro lado, el origen del emblema de la marca se remonta a la guerra de 1914, cuando el \u201cCavallino Rampante\u201d adornaba el caza de un heroico aviador. Ferrari lo redise\u00f1\u00f3 en negro sobre fondo amarillo en se\u00f1al de luto.
