A las mejoras mec\u00e1nicas en el tubo de escape y carburador se a\u00f1ad\u00edan las efectuadas en el interior: en el salpicadero se instal\u00f3 una nueva consola de nogal en tanto que el abatimiento de los respaldos posteriores propiciaban mayor capacidad para el equipaje. Configurado con motor delantero y tracci\u00f3n trasera, el motor y la transmisi\u00f3n son originales. Se incorpor\u00f3 a la colecci\u00f3n en 1992.<\/p>\n<p>En 1959 el mec\u00e1nico y triunfante corredor de coches ingl\u00e9s Donald Healey,\u00a0 que ya trabajaba en unos avanzados dise\u00f1os deportivos en su propio taller, lanz\u00f3 el Austin-Healey 3000 MK I, conocido como el \u201cBig Healey\u201d, basado en el chasis del modelo 100-6. Fue equipado con un motor m\u00e1s potente y con frenos de disco en las ruedas delanteras. El Austin Healey 3000 cuenta desde su introducci\u00f3n con una larga historia en la competici\u00f3n, participando con \u00e9xito en numerosos circuitos de Europa y Am\u00e9rica.
